109428: John Morrison

John Morrison lived in Ness, but it is not certain he was born there.

By 1820 someone with his name appears as a sub-tenant on Old South Tolsta Tack, however we cannot be sure it refers to him: as in 1830 two John Morrisons obtained crofts in the croft lottings.

In 1830, during the croft lottings, he obtained 11 Old South Tolsta. John had a son, Murdo, and may well have had more children, but nothing further is known.

In due 11 Old South Tolsta passed to his grandson, Donald Morrison.
