108732: John Morrison

John (born 1889) was a son of Donald Morrison and Christina Macritchie, 20 Brenish and it is not known if he moved with his family to 1 Mangersta. John emigrated to Wyoming and later  returned to Lewis and had a butcher’s shop at 8 Church Street, Stornoway. He had his residence above the shop.

He was married to Janet Smith, 47 Borve and they had no family. 

John inherited the croft at 1 Mangersta but never came to live there. It was eventually sold.
