Hugh (1922-2003) was a son of Donald Finlayson and Catherine Macleod, 2 Marvig.
He served with the Merchant Navy during the Second World War. He is mentioned in Roll of Honour: Pairc, Second World War.
In Milton, Glasgow, in 1948 he married Chrissie Sutherland Morrison, 44 Gravir and they settled in Glasgow. The couple had a daughter and later moved to Whitburn.
Hugh worked in British Leyland at Bathgate for many years.
The couple moved to 2 Carn Aonghais. Hugh was widowed in 1989.
