John (1836-1904) was a son of Angus Macaulay and Christina Mackay, 11 Old Lemreway.
Lemreway was cleared in 1843 and the family were removed to 14 Crossbost.
In Lochs, in 1870, he married Catherine Macdonald, 35 Leurbost. John and Catherine lived at 35 Leurbost with Catherine’s parents. The couple had two children.
John was widowed in 1873 and in Lochs, in 1879, he married Janet Macaskill from 8 Crossbost. John and Janet lived at 35 Leurbost and they had one child.
