Rev. George Alexander Greer
George Alexander (1906-1998) was from Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland where he worked on the family farm. He joined the Faith Mission and while in Uig was invited to the home of Roderick Maclean, 8 Timsgarry and met his daughter Rhodina. They married in Glasgow in 1943 and had four children.
After the war he entered the ministry and became a minister in the United Free Church of Scotland. His ministry took them to many places. On his retirement they moved to Northern Ireland but when the ‘troubles’ began in the 1970s, they moved to Ayr in Scotland.
