John (1921-1980) was a son of Donald Macleod and Marion Macleod, 2 Enaclete. It is possible that he was born while the family still lived at 2 Enaclete, prior to relocating to 2 Timsgarry in the early 1920s. John served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War and a record for him can be found in the Roll of Honour 1939-1945.
John settled in the Glasgow area. His first wife was Betty MacNair and they had one son. His second wife was Catriona Sommerville and they had one daughter.
