Angus MacDonald
Angus MacDonald was born on Scarp in 1896. During the Great War he served in the Royal Navy. Educated at the University of Aberdeen and then Alford Place College, Angus was assistant at the High United Free Church, Aberdeen before serving at the United Free Church on Berneray between 1933 and 1939 before moving to be minister in Staffin, Skye. Between 1946 and 1956 he was minister for the parish of Kilmuir and Paible, North Uist.
His first wife was Marion MacLeod from Skye and 3 Broker, with whom he had a son. With his second wife Christine Gillies, from Staffin, he had two daughters.
Angus passed away in Edinburgh in 1959.
