Jane MacDonald, known as Sìneag, was the daughter of Ewen MacDonald and Marion MacDonald of 6 Balmartin, North Uist. She married Alexander MacLean of Quay, Berneray, living with him there for sometime before moving to work in Lochmaddy. In 1970 they moved back to Berneray to 14 Borve. Sineag later lived at 11/12 Ruisgarry (Quay) with her sister.
