Catherine (born 1904) was a daughter of Donald Macleod and Mary Morrison, 7 Geocrab, Harris. Some time after 1924 the family moved to 21 Portnalong, Isle of Skye. She became the resident district nurse of Berneray in 1932, staying in the newly built Nurse’s Cottage.
Her sister Julia also had links to Berneray.
At Cambusnethan, in 1937, she married Robert LS Fowler and they had one child.
