Alexander (1868-1952) was the son of Norman Macleod and Marion Macleod, 28 Tolsta Chaolais. Alexander’s first wife was Ann Macleod, 23 Tolsta Chaolais. They had two sons: Angus Alick who lost his life on the Iolaire and Norman, who resided in Glasgow.
His second wife was Christina Macleod, 11 Garenin and there was no issue from this marriage. They lived at Tealabhal, Tolsta Chaolais before moving to Stornoway.
