Alex Murdo Macleod (1912-1984), son of Malcolm Macleod and Mary Ann Kennedy, 17 Balallan. He emigrated to South America and worked in Peru from 1937-1945. He returned to Lewis and married Ann Mackenzie of 1 Keose Glebe at Laxay in 1945. Lived at Dyke Cottage, Keose.
