9139: Royal Pioneer Corps

The original Corps was founded in 1762 but was frequently disbanded and re-formed as wartime requirements arose. The ‘Royal’ prefix was received in 1946 and the RPC became part of the established regular army in 1950. It later amalgamated with other Corps to become the Royal Logistics Corps
