8730: Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)
The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) Regiment was formed in 1881 by the amalgamation of the 26th Cameronian Regiment and 90th Regiment Perthshire Light Infantry.
The 1st Battalion preferred to be known as The Cameronians and the 2nd Battalion as The Scottish Rifles.
The regiment chose to disband in 1968 rather than amalgamate with another regiment.
