46064: Canadian Expeditionary Force
The Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) comprised a group of Canadian military units who served overseas in the First World War. As well as fighting on the Western Front and later elsewhere, the force had a large reserve and training organisation in Britain.
The men were mostly British-born and volunteers. The CEF was regarded as an exceptional force by both the Allies and Germany. After the war it was disbanded and replaced by the Canadian Militia.
