The Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England is popularly known as Historic England, and is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. It aims to preserve and list historic buildings and ancient monuments in England.

The body was created in 1983 and until 2015 operated under the name of English Heritage; it also incorporates the Historic England Archive.
