108026: London Scottish Regiment

The London Scottish Regiment was originally raised as the London Scottish Rifle Volunteer Corps in 1859.

In 1908, when the Territorial Force was created, it became the 14th (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment (London Scottish).

On 16th September 1914 the battalion landed in France, and was the first territorial unit into action at Ypres on 31st October 1914.

Various changes have been made to its title over the years and it is now known as the A (London Scottish) Company, part of the London Regiment.
