38623: Uig Sands
The spectacular beach in West Uig, surrounded by the villages of Crowlista, Erista, Ardroil and Carnish, and overlooked by Baile na Cille Manse and Uig Lodge. The huge expanse of fine white shell sand can be complete submerged at a high tide.
It was in dunes near Ardroil at the western edge of the sands that the Uig or Lewis Chessmen were found.
