Newton is a small settlement in North Uist, close to Newtonferry. It includes the townships of Baile Mhic Coinein and Baile Mhic Phàil.

In 1923 the farm of Newton, which covered Baile Mhic Coinein, Baile Mhic Phàil and Kyles Berneray, was divided into eight crofts, known as 1 to 8 Baile Mhic Phàil.
