Dalwhinnie, Inverness-shire

Dalwhinnie, famous for its distillery, is a settlement at the head of Glen Truim in Inverness-shire, about 17 miles from Kingussie. As a meeting point for cattle drovers, it became a road junction at the time military roads were being built in the 1720s.
