Falkland Islands, South Atlantic
The Falkland Islands are a self-governing overseas territory of the UK. The two main islands and may smaller islands form an archipelago in the South Atlantic. In 1982 the islands were the focus of a 2 month war between the UK and Argentina, which calls the islands the Islas Malvinas. The Falklanders earn their livelihoods mainly by farming and fishing.
