What may be one roofed shieling-hut and one unroofed shieling-hut, which is annotated as a Ruin, are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1854, sheet 29). Three unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973) with an additional unroofed building approximately 200m to the NW.

These are so-called ‘beehive’ huts, of corbelled stone. Spoon found by Duncan Mackenzie, (01854) 612947, in a shell midden 1998.
