Findspot of five stone axe heads

NB 277 223

NB22SE 1 277 223.

Five stone axe-heads, probably deposited as a hoard, were found by the shore of the loch by I and R Mackenzie. Pending analysis, two of the axe-heads may be axe-factory products, but the remainder are almost certainly of local rocks (Information from the ‘Stornoway Gazette’ 19 September 1981).
Now in NMAS.
