Full description:
"Situated on the south facing slopes of Beinn Lobheir, immediately above Rubha nan Carn on the north shore of Loch Seaforth Head, the remains of this balckhouse are orientated from north to south, and measure 10 x 6 metres. Constructed of stone faced walls with an earthen core this structure has two internal partitions. The first, constructed of drystone is located 3 metres from the southern end, and the second, surviving as a turf bank with some stone is 8 metres from the south end. This northerly partition appears to pre-date the more southerly one and is likely not to have been in use when that drystone structure was constructed. The walls of this building are heavily tumbled and robbed. It has an apsoidal end towards the south, and a single entrance 3 metres from the southern end in its eastern face. This structure may well have been used as the barn associated with blackhouse (26.3) which is located less than 20 metres to the west. However, its proportions and the style of ots construction tend to suggest that this structure was orginally constructed as a ore-crofting blackhouse, presumably relating to the settlement that was cleared from the area in the 1830s."
