Tobhta Mhic Asgaill Mhòir is the site of the home of the man who became known as Angus Mor MacAskill. He, together with his parents and siblings, left Berneray in about 1828. As an adult  Aonghas Mòr was recognised as the strongest man in the world, and a cairn was built on the site in 1992.
