The family of Donald Mackenzie (1810-) moved to Stornoway and another Donald Mackenzie (1845) from 2 Keose came to the croft. There was no family connection with the previous Mackenzie family. When John Mackenzie (1876) and his wife Catherine died, the croft went over to Murdo Macleod, 1 Garyvard.
