The first tenant of this croft was Roderick Macleod (1836-1897) son of Angus Macleod, 6 Caverstay.
In 1861 John Macleod (1823-1888) son of Malcolm 2 Crossbost was the tenant and by 1871 had moved to 13 Cromore.
John Macrae (1940-1908) from 6 Habost was the tenant in 1881 and around 1882 moved to outside 4 Keose.
Malcolm Mackinnon (born 1838) son of Norman 43 Balallan also came to 6 Torostay around 1881.
