77887: Pier House, 17a Backhill

Pier House, now known as Dun Arainn, is located close to what is now the harbour on the island of Berneray. It is ‘house no 43’ in Bill Lawson’s croft history of the area.

The first couple to live there were Alexander MacDonald and his wife, followed by Duncan MacLeod and his family. The property then passed to Mary Ann MacLeod.
