777: 4 Earshader

Croft No 4 Earshader is situated between crofts No 3 and No 2. It runs into the shore on its east side and the main road B8059 runs through it.

The first recorded tenants at 2 and 4 Earshader were brothers; Murdo Smith lived at No 2 and John Smith at No 4. They decided to swap crofts but, for some reason, they took their addresses with them.
