Weaver Johnnie MacAskill and his wife Ann Kate lived here, naming the property Bay View. In 1981, following Ann Kate’s death, the house was purchased by Johnnie’s nephew John Archie MacAskill, a seaman. It subsequently passed to his brother Donald John. 

This property, now known as 15 Rhuvanish or Rubha Mhanais, is referred to as ‘house no 50’ in the croft history of the area.
