6 Rhuvanish or Rubha Mhanais was, from 1911, the home of yachtsman and fisherman Kenneth MacAskill and his wife Christina. Following Christina’s death in 1957 the house passed to their son Donald John MacAskill.

 It is referred to as ‘house no 49’ in the croft history of the area.
