'House 14' Quay
'House 14' Quay
Boat carpenter Norman MacLeod moved here with his family from old Borve sometime between the 1841 and 1851 censuses. Following Norman's death, his widow Catherine stayed here, living as a pauper.
The house later passed to daughter Ann, whose niece Catherine MacKay and daughter Mary Ann lived with her. Catherine, a wool spinner, inherited the house after Ann's death.
