74255: ‘House 12’ Quay

This was the home of Donald MacAskill, who ran a business here as a merchant and general dealer from at least 1881. His niece Christina assisted him, and was passed the house and business following his death in 1899.

Christina married Roderick Robertson in 1901. They stayed here and kept the shop until at least 1911.
