'House 7' Quay

'House 7' Quay

This was the home of fisherman Alexander MacLeod and his family from about 1855. Alexander drowned in a storm in 1865. His widow Flora continued to live here with their young family.

The house was later passed to her daughter Mary who lived here for a while with her husband Finlay MacKinnon and their children, before moving to Borve. Finlay, who was grieve on Borve Farm, obtained 1 Borve when the farm was divided into crofts.
