'House 4' Quay

'House 4' Quay

Fisherman Neil MacKillop moved from his mother's home at 'house 5' Quay sometime in the late 1860s, living here with his wife and young family. They stayed until 1900 when Neil obtained the croft at 11 Borve.

The house at Quay became the home of fisherman Alexander Munro and his wife Christina, a wool spinner. Following her death in 1932, the property passed to Malcolm MacIsaac, who kept a shop. Malcolm later moved to 10 Ruisgarry (Gunhill), passing 'house 4' to his sister Christina Mary.
