The first tenant of this croft was John Martin, married to Christina Mackay. It is not known where they originated from. The croft was passed to son John (b1821) who was married to Christina Macdonald, 3 Tolsta Chaolais. They had 12 children, 6 of whom died in infancy and a daughter Mary, who died aged 14 years.

The croft passed to Duncan Macarthur, 4/5 Borrowston.
