68847: 21 Garenin

The first tenant of 19 Garenin was Duncan Macleod (1794-1866).  On his death, the croft was split between his son Murdo (b1831), who took 20 Garenin and sons-in-law Murdo Macleod (b1826), who took 19 Garenin and John Maclean (b1839) who settled at 21 Garenin.  In the 1860’s, part of 21 Garenin was taken by Norman Macleod, 24 Garenin.  In 1885 he obtained 4 Garenin to which this part of 21 Garenin was added.  The croft was later sold to Duncan Macleod, 20 Garenin and still remains in the family.
