9 Doune Carloway
The first tenant of this croft was Malcolm Maclennan who probably came from Hacklete, Bernera. When Doune was cleared in 1853, the family moved to 4 Upper Carloway. After resettlement in 1872, Malcolm Maclean from Mangersta came to this croft and his son Murdo (1850-) inherited. The croft was sold to Finlay Macdonald, 20 Doune and on his death, the croft went to Kenneth Macleod, 11 Doune.
