67393: 15 Borve, Berneray
15 Borve was created in 1900, when the Congested Districts Board for Scotland persuaded the South Harris Estate to break up Borve Farm and re-allocate the land as crofts. The croft house was originally the old shepherd’s house, Taigh a’ Chiobair, until it was replaced by a newly built home in the 1930s.
Croft 15 was allotted to Alexander Paterson. It subsequently passed to his son Lachlan.
