67387: 9 Borve, Berneray
9 Borve was created in 1900, when the Congested Districts Board for Scotland persuaded the South Harris Estate to break up Borve Farm and re-allocate the land as crofts.
Croft 9 was allotted to the man that the people of Berneray had elected to give evidence to the Napier Commission, Malcolm MacLeod. It subsequently passed down the family to Roderick, and then to his son Roderick.
