3 Borve, Berneray

3 Borve, Berneray

3 Borve was created in 1900, when the Congested Districts Board for Scotland persuaded the South Harris Estate to break up Borve Farm and re-allocate the land as crofts.

Croft 3 was allotted to Roderick MacLeod, but he chose to exchange it with Malcolm Morrison for a croft in Ruisgarry. It subsequently passed down Malcolm's family to Donald, Kenneth and onward to his son.
