Situated on the slopes of Sandhill, 2 Ruisgarry was lotted in 1850 to Alexander MacLeod. It was to prove a short-lived tenancy, because four years later the croft was cleared and combined with 1 Ruisgarry to form a new croft: 1/2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill). 

Cottars also lived on the croft.
