6000: Grieves House, Keose Glebe

This house was first occupied by John Walker (1856-1938) and his family who came to Keose from Tiree with the Reverend Donald MacCallum in 1889. The family moved to the Grieve’s House, Manor Farm, Stornoway in the late 1890s.

Donald Macleod (1849-1919) son of Murdo Macleod and Rachel Martin, 5 Keose resided in the house with his family before moving to Stornoway to 38 Bayhead Street.

There is no record of any other family having lived here.
