51412: 3 Tolsta Chaolais

This croft was first tenanted by Murdo Macdonald (1794-1875).  His parents were Malcolm Macdonald and Ann Macarthur and it is thought they originally came from Tolsta Chaolais.  Murdo married Effie Macleod (1798-1882), who probably originated from Tolsta Chaolais.  The croft was passed on to their son Norman (1834-1880), to Norman’s son John (1864-1948) and thereafter to John’s son John Murdo.
