4454: 1 Croir

The first tenant on No 1 Croir, after lotting in 1921, was Angus Macdonald, formerly 17 Tobson. After Angus died the family moved to Stornoway and the tenancy was bought by John Maciver "Iain Thormoid Bhig".

The house on this croft, "Tigh a Chaolais", was where the tacksman John Macdonald lived after he left Little Bernera in the late 1830s.
