The first known tenant (1851 Census) on No 10 Tobson was Murdo Macdonald. When the Bosta people were resettled in Kirkibost, he exchanged crofts with Christina Maclennan and went to 17 Kirkibost. Her grandson's widow sold it to Norman Maciver Benview/Glasgow.
