8 Crowlista became no. 8 in the 1850s and it was tenanted by Peter Martin at that time, on the same piece of ground that no. 8 is nowadays. This croft, at one time, had three houses on it one occupied by Murdo, one by Norman and another by Christina Martin. All three had spouses but they had no family.
