First tenant of 19 Brenish in the 1849 relotting was John Macaulay, 9 Old Brenish; second tenant John’s son Murdo Macaulay; cottar Donald Macleod later obtained 7 Brenish; third tenant Murdo’s son John Macaulay; fourth tenant John’s son Donald Alexander Macaulay. When Donald Alexander removed to Stornoway, Angus Morrison, 17 Brenish became fifth tenant.
