25910: 4 Doune Carloway

The first tenant of this croft when it was lotted in 1828 was Malcolm Macleod from Ardhasaig, Harris. His son Murdo (1821-) inherited the croft but moved to 5 Upper Carloway, probably when Doune was cleared in 1853. Kenneth Morrison from Taransay, Harris came to the croft when it was resettled in 1872 and was passed to son John (1844-) and his son Murdo (1883-). The croft still remains with the Morrison family.
