The first tenant of this croft was Kenneth Macleod (1819-) who came from 20 Balallan. The family moved in c1851.

The next tenant was Alexander Nicolson (1828-1891) who moved from Ranish in c1851. He appears to have been married four times and his son John (1860-1892) from his last marriage, inherited the croft.
