15097: 26 Lemreway

The first tenant of this croft was Donald Nicolson, (1824) who came from Steimreway when Lemreway was repopulated in 1858. The family emigrated to Canada in 1863 and Donald Nicolson, 9 Lemreway took over the tenancy until he lost the croft as he was unable to pay the rent. Donald Maclennan, 6 Marvig was the next tenant but he was lost at sea and the croft then went to John Montgomery, 17 Lemreway.
